LAM Tech Academy
Mankind is welcoming the fourth industrial revolution represented by intelligent technology. New technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G, and bioengineering are integrated into all aspects of human society, driving changes in global macro trends, such as sustainable social development and economic growth. New kinetic energy, smart city upgrading, industrial digital transformation, consumer experience, etc. Such transformation has placed a huge demand for new relevant skills and better education. It is unfortunate, that many of the schools in our country, particularly those that are situated in rural settlements, do not have the privileges of the relevant resources of the 4th industrial revolution. Such a disadvantage has contributed a lot to the unemployment rate and crime rate. There are a lot of young people without relevant skills. Moreover, we have those who have qualifications but are unemployed, maybe because of the low demand for their qualification or having irrelevant skills.
The LAM Tech Academy addresses the above challenges, by running programs that would equip both elementary and high school teachers and pupils. The aim is to encourage the youth of South Africa to explore and discover Engineering Technology and 4IR by participating in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and, Maths activities and programs, programs to stimulate innovative and critical thinking and creativity to produce solutions to technical and technological challenges.
